Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #1

My upline, Stacey, found this challenge...using ribbon!!!  I love ribbon, so to have a challenge dedicated to the use of ribbon is fantastic.  The first challenge was to create a masculine project using ribbon.  June is a busy month for birthdays and anniversaries in my family, so I took this opportunity to make a card for one of my male cousins.  I also used some new DSP that will be available in the new catty beginning on July 1!!  The base of this card is very vanilla and then cutout a recessed window...it's really easy to do (if you want instructions, please email me).  I used the new Newsprint DSP to cover the outer edges, except for the top edge which is done in basic black and then the greating is embossed in gold embossing powder.  The main image was embossed again with gold embossing powder on very vanilla.  I then tied that all important ribbon around the top using the black satin ribbon.  I don't think it looks too girly and I hope my cousin likes it.  Let me know what you think!

Supplies:
Stamp Sets:  On Your Birthday, Happy Birthday to You (retired)
Paper:  Very Vanilla CS, Newspring DSP
Ink:  Versamark
Accessories:  Black Satin Ribbon, Gold Embossing Powder

Thanks for stoppin' by!!!
