I know that it's been almost 2 months since my last post!!!! Fall has sure flown by. I've been extremely busy with work and my brother's wedding stuff (ahh...it's 3 weeks from tomorrow!!!). I made this Halloween card at a stampin' retreat hosted by the leader of my Stampin' Up group the first weekend of October. I had a design in mind for a halloween card and the first night my mind kept me up all night thinking of all the embellishments I could put on it. What I came up with made me very happy...it was better than I could have imagined. And then I found out that Shelli's challenge for the month was anything Halloween, I was so excited. I only made 3 of these cards...one for my six-year-old neighbor, one for my seventeen-month-old neice, and one for my grandma (she loves getting my hand-made cards). I started out with tangerine tango card stock. I then embossed a piece of old olive card stock with iridescent ice embossing powder and then ran it through the big shot using the spider web textured impressions embossing folder. I stamped the halloween image from the Greeting Card Kids stamp onto watercolor paper with versa mark and embossed with black embossing powder. I've found that if you do it this way, when you watercolor, the colors don't bleed. I watercolored the image with tangerine tango, rich razzleberry, old olive, and crumb cake and added the black waffle paper to the back with sticky strip...and of course had to add some of the great new silver glass glitter. I tied a bow around the card using the rich razzleberry striped grosgrain ribbon, stamped "boo" on tangerine tango card stock, punched it out with the jewelry tag medium punch and tied a bow with linen thread...oh, and of course the button! Please let me know what you think!!!
